Canon: The Eagle
Pairing: Marcus Flavius Aquila/Esca Mac Cunoval
Canon Level: Friends

The Eagle is a fandom I got into ass-backwards, i.e. fic reading came first. I think the specific order was porn then long fics then actually watching the movie. Which worked because the movie is not at all like what I normally watch. And the movie still isn't really my thing (more visual violence than I generally care for), but at least now I have context. The fic is right up my alley however, with Marcus and Esca gradually growing closer and their trust in each other being tested and them ultimately choosing each other and building a life together.
