Oh shit, the last five minutes of this episode were a doozy. This season so far has been toddling along--some good moments, some funny moments, but nothing where I was ever heavily invested in the plot*, and now bam! I think season one was like that as well for me, but I didn't notice so much because I watched the whole thing in just a week, whereas this season I've been watching as it's been released. I am now pretty psyched for the rest of the season.
(*Don't get me wrong, the episode just before this one, "Cornered ~True Identity~," has a great ending, but I spent too much time cringing in secondhand embarrassment to really be emotionally invested in the denouement.)
