Whee, trip!

I am in New Orleans with Christal, and it is fun. Funfunfunfunfun. So far, we've spent the day watching movies-- Disney movies, mainly. I finally got to see Treasure Island, and it was pretty good. I laughed 'cause my first thought when I saw Jim was that he looked a lot like Kon. Oh, comics have corrupted me. But he had the haircut and the earring, so all he needed were some randomly placed belts.

Tomorrow we're going to go to the bookstore and Best Buy and Popeye's. It shall be good and tasty.

Christal's brother took us to see Constantine, which was nice of him. I really enjoyed the movie, enough that I want to see it again. Like, the universe was the perfect mix for me so that it was complex enough to be interesting but explained well enough that I didn't have any "wait, what just happened?" moments. (Those moments happen a lot for me.)

Now we're watching Peter Pan, which is very pretty, but I'm getting tired. And we have to get up early tomorrow so we can go shopping. There will be bookses, my pretties, oh yes. ...I can tell I'm tired.

I have to laugh because I came back with 17+ new-to-me books to read. As well as 4 comic trade paperbacks. (My luggage was noticeably heavier flying back.) Most people, if they went to New Orleans, would go to party. Me, I go to revel in books with my friend.
