Ships that I Ship: Day 16: Jack/Sandy
Canon: Rise of the Guardians
Pairing: Jack Frost/Sanderson Mansnoozie
Canon Level: Friends
So the movie's lots of fun, and I am nearly always down for reimaginings of mythology, fairy tales, etc. Jack hits my sweet spot for cocky/vulnerable protagonist. But Sandy is far and away my favorite thing about the movie. Just give me all Sandy all the time, and I will wallow in delight. Sadly for me, the fandom is primarily interested in other characters, most of whom I am neutral to completely uninterested in. Sandy is mischievous, caring, wise, a bit of an enigma, and cute as a button to boot. I love the idea of Jack and Sandy connecting, with Jack relearning how to connect after years on his own and Sandy drawing him out from behind his smart aleck, protective shell with jokes and fun and understanding.
