Ships that I Ship: Day 8: Chaucer/Wat
Canon: A Knight's Tale
Pairing: Geoffrey Chaucer/Wat
Canon Level: Conspirators/Coworkers
A Knight's Tale is a fun, silly movie. Chaucer and Wat bicker a lot but work together because they believe in Will and also are maybe friends deep down (really deep down). They're fun to read about if you take their fighting as a not-well-done cover for unresolved sexual tension or as an adult version of pulling pigtails (where either party may or may not realize what's going on). Add in some supposedly unrequited pining beneath everything, and I am happy as a clam.
