Aw, Holes is a pretty good book/movie, and Stanley and Hector's close friendship is a big draw for me. They helped each other for their mutual benefit at first, and as they got to know one another, they banded together, them versus the rest of the camp. And Stanley refusing to abandon Hector and carrying him up the mountain may have been destiny for them. Who's to say destiny can't involve a crush too?
