Best friends! Best friends who fill in each other's blank spaces, no less. Or, well, Jay fills up Silent Bob's spaces, and Bob gives Jay enough room to be as expressive as he wants to be. I think the actual getting together would be a tricky hurdle for them because Jay talks a good game but he's rarely serious and Bob plays things close to the chest, but once they managed to clear that one.... They already know each other's foibles, and understand one another, so I don't think their relationship would change that much beyond adding a tacit agreement of monogamy between them.
