Megamind is a fun movie, and Megamind and Roxanne are really cute together. Megamind respects Roxanne, and Roxanne challenges Megamind, and really Metro Man is the unnecessary middleman. They banter, they can geek out together, they're both smart and work well together. They just make for a really sweet couple.

They're a great ship. You know, I don't really like Roxanne as a character much at all - a lot of DreamWorks female characters who aren't Princess Fiona bug me in that I feel like the writers were just... Trying to re-create Fiona. But maybe that's just me.

Anyway, that said, I do love their relationship; it's probably one of DreamWorks' best canon romances. The fact that they're both intelligent makes me so happy, but also the fact that the respect, that even becomes mutual with time, is so abundantly apparent - I feel like the obviousness of respect in fictional couples is a bit on the more uncommon side, but it's so important to me!

Megamind's so over-the-top and full of personality and style that I'm not really sure it's entirely Roxanne's fault she's somewhat forgettable. Mostly I think she's got a really great comic book-style name, haha.

But, yes, the respect that both of them have for each other is so wonderful and refreshing to see. It's a really important aspect to have in a healthy relationship, and it's not nearly as present in fiction as I wish it were!

I never thought of it that way, but that could be part of it! And yes, her alliterative name is great and very comic book-appropriate.
