I don't do the [community profile] fannish5 questions too often because I can never think up answers easily, but I wanted to do this one because I immediately thought of a best father.

Robert Hawkins (Static Shock) is a fantastic father, and the relationship between the entire Hawkins family is one of my favorite aspects of the show.

Donald Duck (Quack Pack) was essentially Huey, Dewey, and Louie's father. I'm not at all familiar with the Donald Duck comics, but I'll always be fond of Quack Pack and the mutually antagonistic but ultimately loving relationship between Donald and his teenage nephews.

Benjamin Sisko (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) and Jake had a relationship that I just loved watching. They loved each other, and each was made stronger by that love. Deep Space Nine would not have been as good a show if Sisko hadn't been a father.

Splinter (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) managed to raise four highly energetic boys completely by himself. It's impressive when you think about it.

James (The Princess and the Frog) is such an important character even though he's in so little of it and that's because he was such a wonderful father for Tiana. This became my favorite Disney movie the first time I saw it, and Tiana's parents are probably the second biggest reason why.

This week's [community profile] fannish5 -- name your five favorite spaceships -- is surprisingly tough! I had to do research to come up with five I really liked as opposed to five I could easily remember.

The Enterprise-D (Star Trek: The Next Generation) is definitely number one. TNG was my first fannish love, back when I was still in elementary school, and I can't choose anything else. The others aren't in any particular order.

The USS Defiant (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) is an awesomely tough little ship, and DS9 was made even better by its addition to the show. Plus it's the only Federation ship with a cloaking device. Totally cool.

The TARDIS (Doctor Who)! It travels in both time and space. Who wouldn't want to catch a ride in it?

Rama (Arthur C. Clarke's Rendezvous with Rama) was my introduction to hard scifi, so I have a soft spot for it.

And finally Ryo-Ohki (Tenchi Muyo!) because it's a spaceship that turns into a cute cat/rabbit animal.
